Comments: This was my second hip replacement, 4 years after my first hip replacement. Different surgeon did the first one. This hip replacement - April, 2024 was much more complicated due to advanced arthritis. This latest surgery was so much better it is hard to even compare the 2 - the difference is astounding!!! The incision is 1/2 the size. I woke up from surgery and was able to stand and walk with a walker and feel my legs. My legs were even right after surgery as I was standing which would indicate less swelling. 10 days after I walked 1/4 mile on my treadmill. And was able to walk up and down the stairs leg over leg putting pressure on the hip. 23 days after surgery I walked 2.25 miles at 3 miles per hour on my treadmill without holding on pumping my arms. Just an amazingly better experience.
